The Pressure Boys - Dial Tone
from the lp Krandlebanum Monumentus - 1987

Starting in 1981 The Pressure Boys were an amazing hi-energy rock band with a ska horn section. They released two e.p.'s "Jump! Jump! Jump!" in '83 and "Rangledoon" in '84. Krandlebanum Monumentus was their first (and last) full-length album. It featured an inner sleeve crammed with rejection letters from Warner Brothers, Sire, Atlantic, A&M, Chrysalis, CBS, Epic, Polygram, EMI and Geffen. The Pressure Boys finally decided to call it quits in August '88 with a show at The Cat's Cradle. John Plymale went on to form The Sex Police a harder rocking/less ska version of The Pressure Boys (another post in itself).

The "Complete Recordings" was released on Plaid Cat Records. Well worth tracking down.

Band Members:
Rob Ladd - Drums and Vocals
John Plymale - Lead Vocals and Trombone
Byron Settle - Guitars and Vocals
Greg Stafford - Saxes
Jack Campbell - Bass
Stacy Guess - Trumpet
